Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester area is again included in a Winter Storm Watch.

The National Weather Service today issued a watch that covers the southeastern corner Minnesota, a small portion of western Wisconsin and the western two-thirds of Iowa. In the Rochester area, the watch will be in effect from 3 AM Wednesday morning through 3 PM Wednesday afternoon.

Forecasters say a developing storm system could bring another 3-6 inches of snow to the region with locally heavier amounts possible. If the forecast pans out, the added snowfall would make this February one of the overall snowiest months on record in Rochester. It is already the snowiest February in recorded history. The 4.2 inches of snow that fell at the Rochester Airport yesterday pushed the monthly snowfall total to 21.8-inches, which is over an inch and a half above the previous record set in 2007.
