I'm not saying that you would perhaps have fireworks in your possession from any other state besides Minnesota...because that would be illegal. But maybe you've got a cousin in Indiana, Michigan, or Wisconsin who enjoys those types of fireworks that go up in the air and explode. You might want to let your cousin know that thousands of fireworks are being recalled by the Consumer Product Safety Commission just days and hours away from America's Independence Day!

Here's what brands and types are being recalled:

25,000 units of the Grandma's Fireworks brand, due to the product being overloaded with pyrotechnics intended to produce an audible effect, violating the federal regulatory standard for this product. Overloaded fireworks can result in a greater than expected explosion, posing an explosion and burn hazards to consumers. primarily sold in Indiana. You can get more details on the recalled Grandma's items here.

About 11,000 units of the Patriot Pyrotechnics/Bill's Fireworks brand, primarily sold in Michigan. They too are overloaded with pyrotechnics intended to produce an audible effect, violating the federal regulatory standard for this product. Overloaded fireworks can result in a greater than expected explosion, posing explosion and burn hazards to consumers.
