Area Prosecutor Reprimanded by Minnesota Supreme Court
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - A local prosecuting attorney is being punished by the Minnesota Supreme Court.
Acting on a recommendation from the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility, the Justices today issued a public reprimand to Assistant Mower County Attorney Scott Springer. He was also placed on probation for two years after he admitted that he failed to maintain all required trust account books and records and failed to deposit client funds in a client's trust account which resulted in a misappropriation of client funds.
Three years ago, the Austin attorney was among the three finalists for a vacant judgeship in Houston County.
