Wyoming, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in east-central Minnesota have arrested a suspect involved in a fatal pedestrian-vehicle incident.

A news release from the Wyoming Police Department says officers were dispatched to a Holiday gas station on the report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian in the parking lot. The incident was reported shortly before 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Upon arrival, police encountered an injured female victim, who investigators learned had been involved in a domestic disturbance before being hit by the vehicle. First responders rendered aid towards the woman but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police described the suspect vehicle as a white pick-up truck and were seeking the driver. Authorities said Friday morning the suspect, described as a 37-year-old man from Wyoming, MN, contacted police to arrange a meeting at his residence.

The man was then arrested. His name will be released upon completion of the booking process.

Investigators say the man and woman killed in the incident were known to each other. The woman’s name has not been released, however she is described as a 51-year-old St. Paul resident.
