Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An arrest warrant was issued today for a Rochester man who failed to show up in court for his sentencing hearing in a case involving an exchange of gunfire outside an apartment complex last year.

28-year-old Joshua Eugene Adams earlier this year entered a guilty plea to a charge of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. According to the criminal complaint in the case, Adams was involved in a fight with another man who showed up in the parking lot at the Ashland Place apartment complex in northwest Rochester on May 19 of last year.

It was alleged that one of the occupants of the SUV went to confront Adams and the two exchanged gunfire. The court document says Adams admitted firing his weapon once, while the second man told investigators that he fired as many as a dozen shots before he got back into the SUV and sped away.
