Arrest Warrant For Rochester Man Who Skipped Court Appearance
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An arrest warrant has been issued for a Rochester man who recently skipped a court hearing in a case involving allegations that he threatened another man with a loaded military-style rifle.
26-year-old Jorge Lozano was charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon following an incident outside a southeast Rochester home last summer. According to court documents, he was accused of following another man to his home and pointing what appeared to be an AK-47 type rifle at him.
The criminal complaint says the victim had his 7-year-old daughter with him and she witnessed the incident. The man told police he was followed home, and after he parked in his driveway, the other vehicle stopped in the road in front of his home.

The court document says the victim recognized the man with the rifle as Lozano. The man also told investigators that Lozano told him not to call the police because "you know what will happen."
The charges indicate that the victim told police that he was scared for his life and the life of his young daughter.. The court record says she told investigators that she saw people get out of the car and one had a big gun.
According to the criminal complaint, Lozano was arrested a little over a month after the incident was reported around 3 AM on June 6. The court document indicates Lozano was in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was pulled over on Highway 52.
It says the officer involved in the traffic stop spotted a rifle at his feet. The weapon was seized and was described in police reports as an assault rifle that was chambered with a 7.62 mm bullet.
Lozano was released from jail last August after posting a bond for $20,000 bail.
