ATV Operator Airlifted After Being Pinned in Rural Minnesota Crash
Virgina, MN (KROC-AM News)- An ATV rider was airlifted to a hospital following an ATV crash in northeastern Minnesota.
That’s according to a news release issued Friday morning by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office. First responders were dispatched to the crash shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday.
The ATV crash happened on a rural road about 16 miles northeast of Virgina. The news release says responding deputies found the driver pinned under the vehicle in a ditch.
Medical personnel and first responders treated the individual at the scene until they were able to be airlifted to a hospital in Duluth for further care.
The ATV driver’s name is being withheld pending notification of their family members.
Their current condition has not been disclosed. The news release says authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. .
