Austin Man Killed in Fiery Crash
Blooming Prairie, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Austin man was the victim of a fiery crash this morning in Steele County.
The State Patrol says 27-year-old Keith Crape was driving a car south on Highway 218 when his vehicle collided head-on with a northbound SUV and burst into flames. The crash occurred just after 5:30 a.m. about a mile south of Blooming Prairie and resulted in a detour that lasted for several hours.
The driver of the SUV was also from Austin. The State Patrol says 44-year-old Oscar Morales was taken to the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Austin with non-life-threatening injuries.
The deadly incident remains under investigation.
