(UPDATED) BCA Alert For Missing Mower County Children
Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in Mower County are now looking for 5 missing children A statewide alert issued Sunday by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says 10-year-old Mateo Cooley, 11-year-old Mollycia Cooley, and 16-year-old Marco Cooley were last seen Saturday night around 10:30 in Rose Creek. Officials have since determined that 16-year-old Morgan and 17-year-old Mojo Cooley are also missing.
The alert initially listed a fourth child, 15-year-old Maryssa Cooley, but investigators have since determined she is not with the others and is safe. It’s suspected the children are with their non-custodial mother, 39-year-old Izetta Cooley, who is under a court order not to have contact with them. The BCA statement goes on to say authorities are concerned for their safety because of some recent events and the Associated Press is reporting the mother is married to the Moorhead suspected of a fatal shooting in Fargo who was recently apprehended at a family member’s home in Rose Creek.
Izetta Cooley is 5’04”, 180 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. They are believed to be traveling in a black 2007 Suzuki XL7 with MN license plate 103WJC.
Izetta’s residence is in Moorhead, MN but it is unclear where they may be heading. It is possible they are staying in a hotel. If you think you have seen the Cooley children or have information regarding their whereabouts please contact the Mower County Sheriff’s Office at 507-437-9400 or dial 911.
