Hinckley, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities are investigating the death of a child in eastern Minnesota

The Pine County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday that deputies responded to a medical incident around 9 p.m. on Tuesday. The call came from a residence in Hinckley.

Upon arrival deputies were informed the three-year-old child had died. The Pine County Sheriff’s Office says they’re “actively investigating how the child died.” 

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is also assisting in the child death investigation. Officials say there is no threat to the public. 

Authorities did not share the details that prompted the BCA’s involvement and the investigation into the child’s death. The name and gender of the child have not been released.
