Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Justice Department has named a new Acting US Attorney for the District of Minnesota.

Charles Kovats has been selected to succeed W. Anders Folk, who has stepped down to accept a promotion and join the Office of the Deputy Attorney General in Washington DC. Folk was named the Acting US Attorney for Minnesota earlier this year after Erica MacDonald resigned as the top federal prosecutor for the state at the request of President Biden, who made the same request of other Trump appointees to the same position in other states.
