Big Ten Honors Seth Ambroz of the Gopher Hockey Team

(Gophersports.com) - Gopher Hockey senior Seth Ambroz has been tagged as the Big Ten Second Star of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday morning.

Minnesota’s alternate captain tallied four goals over the weekend with 11 of his 35 career goals now coming against the Badgers. Ambroz scored twice in Friday’s 7-5 win over the Badgers and added another pair of tallies during Saturday’s 4-4 overtime tie including the game-tying goal with two seconds left in regulation. Four of Ambroz’s six career multi-goal games have now come against Wisconsin.

Michigan State’s Jake Hildebrand was named First Star while Penn State’s David Thompson picked up Third Star.

Minnesota returns to Mariucci Arena next weekend for a two-game Big Ten series with Ohio State.
