Body Found in Byron Pond Identified as Missing Rochester Man

Byron, MN (KROC-AM News) - The search for a missing Rochester man has officially ended.
The Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiners Office has positively identified the human remains found yesterday in Byron as 39-year-old Wade Gordon Junior. His body was discovered in a retention pond located near the Byron City Hall after the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office received a call from a person who reported hearing a suspicious noise coming from the area several nights earlier.
Gordon was last seen in the early morning hours of July 7. A security camera system at his place of employment recorded him walking away from the business in an easterly direction. The pond where his body was found is located about 2 miles east of his workplace.
The results of an autopsy performed to determine the cause and manner of his death have not been released.
