St. Cloud, MN (Learfield News Service) -  Authorities are working to identify a body pulled from the Mississippi River in St. Cloud.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Office says a kayaker reported seeing what appeared to be a body on the west bank of the river Wednesday night in a back-water area. Deputies and officers found a white or Native American man face down in the water and believe he'd been there for some time. The Midwest Medical Examiner is doing an autopsy, but the remains have not yet been identified. Investigators are asking the public for information that would help identify the man.
