
Byron Man Busted With 1.3 Pounds of Meth Gets Probation
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Byron man has been sentenced to probation for a significant meth bust.
Olmsted County Court records indicate Rochester Police arrested 48-year-old Juan Abel Ochoa on August 22 of last year. The criminal complaint in the case states that investigators executed a search warrant on his vehicle and discovered large quantities of both methamphetamine and cocaine.
The court document indicates officers seized 599 grams of meth, which is more than 1.3 pounds of the drug. The search also led to the seizure of 234 grams of cocaine.

Ochoa was charged with first-degree drug sales, but through a plea agreement, he entered a guilty plea to a fifth-degree drug possession charge.
Ochoa was placed on probation for five years. He was also given a stayed 14 month prison sentence that he could be required to serve if he fails to meet the terms of his probation.
