
55-Year-Old Man Injured in Car-Semi Collision on Hwy. 56 in Mower County
Adams, MN (KROC-AM News)- A southeast Minnesota man was brought to a hospital following a crash with a semi truck in Mower County Monday.

The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle crash shortly after 2 p.m. The drivers were the only people involved in the collision.

Rose Creek Man Injured in Crash with Semi at Intersection Along Hwy. 56
The crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 56 and Mower County Rd. 5, which is west of Adams.
The semi was heading north on Hwy. 56 and the car was eastbound on County Rd. 5 when the two vehicles collided in the intersection, according to the state crash report.
55-year-old Peter Edward Gerber of Rose Creek was identified as the car driver. He was taken to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Austin with non-life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol says.
37-year-old Steven Joseph Fritz was driving the semi. The State Patrol indicates he escaped the crash without injuries.

Both drivers were buckled up and alcohol was not involved in the crash, the state crash report says.
The Mower County Sheriff’s Office and Adams Ambulance also responded to the semi-car collision.
