Majority of Restoration Work Completed for Center St. Parking Ramp in Downtown Rochester

The ramp was closed in late March of this year for what the city described as “necessary restoration work.”

The location of the work and layout of the ramp prevented vehicles from being able to circle the ramp in both directions.

City officials said  the closure and repair work are part of the city’s effort to extend the useful life of the ramp and to make sure it remains safe for the public to use.

Some Parking Spaces Still Not Available

The city says the majority of the ramp’s 393 spaces will be available starting Monday.

Some of the stalls will remain temporarily closed while crews finish up interior restoration work.

The ramp’s reopening will result in a net gain of about 200 parking spaces in downtown Rochester.
