Chatfield Man Flown to Rochester As Result of Tree-Cutting Accident
Dover, MN (KROC-AM News)- The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says a Chatfield man was rushed to the hospital as the result of a tree-cutting accident in Dover Thursday night.

Captain Tim Parkin said deputies responded to an area near the Ready-Mix plant in the 200 block of 7th St. Northwest in rural Dover. The emergency call came in shortly before 9 p.m.
Parkin said the caller knew someone was cutting trees in the area and went to check on him after not hearing the chainsaw for a lengthy period of time. The person found the tree cutter lying face-down in a ditch.
Parkin said the 60-year-old man was airlifted from Dover to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester where he was reported to be in critical but stable condition. First responders indicated the man was breathing when they arrived on scene.
Parkin said it appears the man was hired by the City of Dover to trim trees when part of a tree appeared to have fallen on him.
