Unrestrained Child Among 3 People Hurt in Crash Near Dodge Center

Dodge Center, MN (KROC-AM News) - A young boy who was not in a child restraint seat was among three people injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday afternoon near Dodge Center.

The State Patrol says the incident occurred just before 1:30 p.m. on Highway 56 near the intersection with 595th Street, approximately four miles north of Dodge Center. The preliminary report indicates an extended-cab pickup was headed north on Highway 56 when the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled into the ditch.

Pickup Rolls Into Ditch North of Dodge Center

The State Patrol says three passengers in the pickup were transported to St. Marys Hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries, including the 3-year-old child. He has been identified as Wyatt Butler of Dodge Center. The other injured passengers are 38-year-old Nicole Thomas of Dodge Center and 37-year-old Adam Butler of Dodge Center.

Driver Escapes Crash Without Injury

The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 39-year-old Ross Butler of West Concord. He was not injured in the crash.

Three Injured Were Not Wearing Seat Belts

The preliminary State Patrol crash report says Butler was wearing a seat belt, but the three people injured in the crash were not. Alcohol was not involved in the incident.
