Convicted Felon Facing New Charges for 100 mph Pursuit Near Rochester
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- Prosecutors have charged an Austin man with felony fleeing, accusing him of leading an Olmsted County Sheriff’s Deputy on a high-speed chase last month.

49-year-old Troy Ingalls made his first appearance in Olmsted County Court Thursday. The criminal complaint says a deputy identified Ingalls by the license plate on a vehicle he was driving on Hwy. 14 east of Rochester around 11:50 p.m. on August 14.
The deputy was aware of an active arrest warrant for Ingalls and attempted a traffic stop. When the deputy activated his emergency lights Ingalls took off at speeds estimated to be 100 mph. He also made quick turns in an attempt to avoid law enforcement, the complaint states.
The deputy gave chase for about five minutes before terminating the pursuit due to safety concerns. Earlier that day, the deputy reported seeing the vehicle Ingalls was driving parked at a residence in the 5,100 block of Hwy. 14 in Marion Township. The complaint says the deputy went to that residence and talked with an adult male at the home.
Ingalls then called the man while the deputy was there and said “don’t tell them it was me” after the man told Ingalls police were at the residence, according to the complaint. Investigators obtained a search warrant for the GPS on Ingalls’s phone and found the phone was in the area of the pursuit at the time of the attempted traffic stop.
Jail records indicate Ingalls was booked into the Olmsted County Adult Detention Center on August 31. Conditional bail was set at $20,000.
