Convicted Sex Offender Charged With Raping Teenager
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A man on probation for a previous sexual assault conviction has been charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct for an attack on a Rochester teenager.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department says 26-year-old Douglas Lee of Rochester was arrested last Friday after investigators identified him as the suspect in a sexual assault last Wednesday. The investigation began Wednesday evening after Rochester police responded to St. Mary’s Hospital, where a 15-year-old girl reported that she was sexually assaulted by a 26-year-old man she had met at a Rochester restaurant.
The Sheriff’s Department took over the investigation after it was determined the alleged assault occurred at Oxbow Park near Byron.
Lee is currently on probation for a 2011 criminal sexual conduct conviction. He is also classified as a Level 1 Predatory Offender.
