Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Work could begin soon on another housing project in downtown Rochester.

The Rochester City Council has approved the final plan for the project being proposed for the northeast corner of 1st Ave and 4th St SW.

The developer’s plan calls for a mixed-use building that will include 50 residential units and commercial space on the ground floor.

The developer’s next step will be to obtain a permit to demolish the building currently sitting on the site. Actual construction is expected to begin later this year.
