County Commissioners to Vote on E-Cig Ban
The Olmsted County Board is scheduled to hold a public hearing and vote Tuesday afternoon on some proposed changes to the county’s Smoke Free Workplace Ordinance.
The revisions would basically expand the seven-year-old law to include so-called e-cigarettes, which means their use would be prohibited in most businesses and public places. The proposal would also extend those same regulations to the use of Hookahs, or water pipes.
A new state law, which took effect in July, already barred the use of e-cigarettes in government facilities and many other public places.
