Multi Month Rochester-Area Detour Ends
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News)- A detour that has been in place for multiple months in the Rochester area has come to an end.

The project was centered around replacing a bridge that passes over Interstate 90 in southwestern Olmsted County. The work began in July.
Crews closed Interstate 90 in the project area to allow for demolition of the former overpass. Traffic was also detoured away from the overpass for about four months.
Crews Complete County Rd. 35 Bridge Replacement Project Near Stewartville, MN
On Saturday the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced the County Rd. 35 overpass replacement project had been completed. Traffic to the northwest of Stewartville can once again cross I-90 on the newly-completed bridge.
A MnDOT news release advises drivers to watch for a shoulder closure that’s in place to accommodate efforts to finish decorative railing installation.
All construction is expected to be completed sometime this month. The overpass replacement project finished on time and was completed for a price of more than $3.6 million, according to MnDOT.
