The bodies of 67-year-old Dale and 65-year-old Alberta Nelson were found in a residence in the 500 block of 16th St., Northeast on September 5. The report from the medical examiner’s office indicates Alberta was fatally stabbed by her husband who then turned a knife on himself.

Rochester police officers were sent to the home to conduct a welfare check. Rochester police earlier indicated the couple was from Iowa and had been temporarily living in Rochester.
