This summer just got way cooler. Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo in Olmsted County is working on new camper cabins that will be open for reservations this summer!

They shared a couple of photos from the inside of one of the cabins that will be available. I'm really excited already to see what they look like when they're all ready to go.

Cabins at Oxbow Park and Zollman Zoo

There will be four cabins to rent, which will sleep up to 6 people. They'll each have a little kitchen area with a microwave and fridge, plus A/C and heat. That means you won't be sweating your butt off in the hot, muggy weather during summer.

The cabins won't have their own bathrooms. You'll still have to use the community showers and bathrooms that are part of the Oxbow Park campground. Also, dogs are not allowed in the cabins. They're allowed at the park, but not in the cabins.

Also, the cabins will be handicap accessible, so everyone can come enjoy the new camper cabins.

The plan is to open the four camper cabins in mid-summer of this year, and they'll cost $75 per night.

There's nothing up on the Oxbow Park website to rent the cabins just yet. I'm sure they're waiting until they have a stronger idea of when the cabins will be finished before launching the booking option. We'll have to keep an eye on their website and social media.
