Crash at Intersection Outside of Stewartville Hospitalizes Teen
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News)- A two vehicle crash at a rural Olmsted County intersection sent a Stewartville teenager to the hospital Monday.

The State Patrol responded to the two-vehicle wreck shortly after 6:45 p.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 30 and County Rd. 20, which is about two miles east of Stewartville.
The state crash report says a compact car, driven by 17-year-old Owen Nelson, was traveling south on County Rd. 20 when it failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a pick-up truck heading east on Hwy. 30. Nelson was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The pick-up driver, identified as 47-year-old Wade Baker of Wykoff, was not hurt. Troopers say both drivers were buckled and that alcohol was not involved in causing the crash.
The crash report describes the road as dry at the time of the crash. Mayo Clinic Ambulance, Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Stewartville Fire Department and Bill’s Towing also responded to the wreck.
