Deadly Day for Motorists in Northern Minnesota
Undated (KROC AM News) - It was a deadly day on roads in northern Minnesota Thursday as at least three people were killed in traffic wrecks.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a man was killed when the pickup truck he was driving crossed the centerline and collided with a semi-truck in Hibbing. Killed was 65-year-old Curtis Leppa of Hibbing.
A Grand Forks man was killed when the SUV he was driving rear-ended a moving semi-truck. That deadly wreck happened in northwest Minnesota.
A Deer River woman was killed when her car crossed the centerline of a road near Grand Rapids and collided with a van. The State Patrol identified the woman as 66-year-old Patricia Francois. The other driver - 60-year-old Peter Boyd of Wawina - suffered life-threatening injuries.
