McGrath, MN (KROC AM News) - At least two Minnesotans were killed in a head-on traffic wreck that was apparently caused by a motorist who was trying to pass another vehicle.
The deadly wreck occurred around noon Wednesday in rural Aitkin County in east-central Minnesota.
The State Patrol says a car driven by 23-year-old Cabdibari Mohomed of Brooklyn Park was passing a minivan when he collided head-on with an approaching small SUV. He was transported to a Duluth hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the SUV was identified as 75-year-old Sandra Erickson-Brown. She and her passenger - 84-year-old Wayne Brown - were killed. They were from Jacobson, Minnesota.
