Demolition of Highway 63 Bridge at I-90 Begins Tuesday
Stewartville, MN (KROC-AM News) - Traffic is now limited to a single lane in each direction on Highway 63 between the Rochester Airport and Stewartville.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation today switched northbound traffic to the southbound lanes to prepare for the demolition of the northbound bridge over I-90 this week. It’s part of the two-year project that got underway this spring to revamp the entire interchange.
The demolition of the bridge is scheduled to begin Tuesday evening and be completed early Thursday. The work will take place at night and will require traffic to be detoured off I-90 from 7 PM through 5 AM over the three days needed to complete the demolition.
