In the small, historic city of Mantorville, you'll find the Hubbell House. Not only does this well-known restaurant have lots of history, they've had many incredible visitors - presidents, professional athletes and more.

The Hubbell House was built four years before Minnesota was even declared a state. According to Only in Your State, "in its early days, the Hubbell House was known by mail carriers and wagon travelers as a rest stop along their path from east to west." Now we know of it as one of the best fine dining restaurants in Southeast Minnesota.

Some of the most recognizable names of people that have been there are William Worrall Mayo, Ulysses S. Grant, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Mickey Mantle and the Minnesota Vikings team.

With the history of the Hubbell House, it's not surprising to hear rumors of it being haunted. In fact, Christopher S. Larsen, the author of 'Haunted Mantorville: Trailing the Ghosts of Old Minnesota" was quoted in the Star Tribune saying “Mantorville is pretty much the most haunted town in the Midwest per capita.”
