DNR Hosting Open Houses in Southern Minnesota
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a number of open houses in the coming weeks. You'll be able to meet and chat with local wildlife managers about deer-related questions and offer your input. Other topics will include upcoming hunting regulation changes that will be released in early August.
Besides general discussions about deer, individuals can ask DNR staff about last year's harvest data and bring up topics that the deer advisory committee should be aware of.
The open houses are informal with no formal presentations as people may com and go as they wish within the scheduled time frame.
In our area the open house will be Thursday, August 29 at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center in Austin between 6-8pm.
