Couple Arrested in Dodge Center Child Sex Assault Now Charged

Dodge Center, MN (KROC-AM News)- Both members of southeast Minnesota couple arrested in connection with a child sexual abuse case last week have been charged.

Dodge County Sheriff Scott Rose last week reported deputies made the arrests on Friday afternoon.

One suspect was taken into custody at the couple’s home in Dodge Center and the other was arrested at his place of employment. Both suspects were taken to the Olmsted County Jail in Rochester.

Dodge Center, MN Couple Charged for Alleged Sexual Assault of 6-Year-Old Girl

Rose identified the suspects as 48-year-old Cesar Avardo Solis and 41-year-old Jazmin Sifuentes-Moreno. Court documents, filed Tuesday in Dodge County Court, allege the couple sexually assaulted a 6-year-old girl.

During a Feb. 12 interview with law enforcement, the young girl said she had been babysat and had slept over at the couple’s Dodge Center home in the past.

She told investigators of one night last Fall or Summer when Solis picked her up from the bed she was sleeping on and brought her into another room of the couple’s home.

Solis and Sifuentes-Moreno then sexually assaulted her, the complaint alleges. After the alleged sex assault, Solis told the victim that nothing happened and that she had to “keep it a secret,” the complaints say.

Solis and Sifuentes-Moreno declined to give statements to investigators when they were arrested, according to court documents.

Both members of the couple are each charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Solis and Sifuentes-Moreno made their first court appearances Wednesday morning.
