Wyoming, MN (KROC-AM News)- Authorities in the Twin Cities responded to a deadly crash late Monday.

The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office says dispatch received a report around 11:59 p.m. from an individual who said they received a phone call from a man who said he had been in a motor vehicle crash. Emergency crews then responded to an area along 197th Ave. Northeast, about 10 miles west of Forest Lake. 

First responders searched the area and found a pick-up truck resting on its side. Officials say the adult male driver was still in the vehicle.

Emergency responders administered life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial crash investigation indicates the pick-up was traveling west on 197th Ave. Northeast when it left the road and struck a light pole. 

The identity of the driver has not been released. The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the fatal crash.
