Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Malinda Hanson says the collision was reported around 7:40 Wednesday night.
Witnesses flagged down a deputy in the area after the suspect vehicle was seen attempting to leave the scene, Hanson says.

The vehicle crashed into an attached garage at a home in the 100 block of Madison Ave.
Responding deputies found the driver, identified as 33-year-old Arturo Oropeza Jimenez, still seated in the driver’s seat of the car.
Deputies suspected the Rochester man of being under the influence of alcohol and arrested him on suspicion of DWI.
Jimenez was taken to the Olmsted County Jail where he provided a breath test sample that measured his Blood-Alcohol Concentration at 0.12, the sheriff’s office’s report says.
Deputies then brought Jimenez to St. Mary’s Hospital for an evaluation. He was medically cleared then returned to the jail, according to Hanson.
Hanson says Jimenez could face charges of third-degree DWI, fifth-degree drug possession and driving after revocation. The report does not say which type of drug was found during the arrest and booking.
No injuries were reported. Hanson said the garage and a vehicle parked inside of it suffered damage as a result of the collision. A damage estimate is not yet available.
