Goodview, MN (KROC-AM News)- Officials are investigating a fire that injured an employee at a Winona County business Saturday.

Goodview Fire and Rescue firefighters were dispatched to the blaze shortly after 11:30 a.m. The first crew to arrive reported seeing a heavy fire coming from the backside of Mississippi Welders Supply.

The flames were burning in the loading dock area that contained propane cylinders. Employees had evacuated from the building. Several Winona County law enforcement agencies evacuated the immediate area.

Firefighters from Goodview, Winona and Minnesota City used large amounts of water to put out the blaze by 1:50 p.m., according to a news release from Goodview Fire and Rescue. One employee suffered what were described as minor injuries. They were treated on scene by Winona Area Ambulance. 

The Minnesota State Fire Marshal’s Office is assisting in the investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
