Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Transportation is giving notice that motorists may encounter lane closures on Monday at one of the busiest intersections in Rochester.

MnDOT says crews will be conducting pavement tests at the intersection of Highway 14 and Broadway to prepare for a future project at that location. A news release says the intersection will remain open to traffic, but lane closures will occur near where the work is being conducted between 9 AM and noon.

Work will also be taking place on the ramp from southbound South Broadway to westbound Highway 14 which will require closing the ramp. The right lane of westbound Highway 14 will also be closed adjacent to that ramp while the testing is taking place.

A major project to improve the intersection is scheduled to take place in 2027.
