Is This Famous Minnesota Attraction Really the Most Overrated?
Don't shoot the messenger, but I don't think you're going to like this news. Or maybe you totally agree and I'm out to lunch.
A recent article called out the most overrated tourist attraction in every state, and of course, I went straight to Minnesota to see who made the list. This isn’t just some random opinion either, it’s based on thousands of reviews.
The list came from HawaiianIslands.com who dug through TripAdvisor reviews looking for the one word people kept dropping: overrated. Yikes!

The Famous Minnesota Spot Travelers Say Is The Most Overrated:
According to the data, it’s the Walker Art Center and the nearby Minneapolis Sculpture Garden… aka the place with that giant cherry and spoon that shows up on everyone’s camera roll at least once.
Overrated though? Yeah, agree to disagree.
According to Tripadvisor users, the Walker doesn’t always live up to the hype. While many visitors enjoy the ever-evolving contemporary exhibits and the artful outdoor setting, some felt the museum experience fell flat. Common complaints included a confusing layout and a high $18 admission fee.

According to their website, The Walker Art Center ranks among the five most-visited modern/contemporary art museums in the United States and, together with the adjacent Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, attracts more than 700,000 visitors per year.
So yeah… the Walker might not live up to every hype train, but that’s part of the fun. Some people love it, some people shrug. Either way, it’s a Minnesota staple and worth a visit, even if just to say you’ve seen it.
