
Unbuckled Driver Killed After Losing Control of Pick-up on Twin Cities Freeway
Richfield, MN (KROC-AM News)- An unbuckled driver lost his life after crashing on a Twin Cities freeway late Friday night.

That’s according to the State Patrol. Two vehicles were involved.
The deadly crash occurred shortly after 11:15 p.m. at the I-35 W 66th St. interchange in Richfield.
A southbound pick-up made contact with the guardrail along the right exit lane, then cut across traffic, struck another southbound car and crashed into the median barrier, according to the state crash report.

Both vehicles were seen coming to rest on the left-hand shoulder.
A 35-year-old Burnsville man was driving the pick-up and the crash report indicates he lost his life as a result of the crash. His name has not yet been released.
29-year-old Abdirahim Husein Ahmed of Minneapolis was driving the car. He and his passenger, identified as 24-year-old Kadar Ismail Hassan of Minneapolis, escaped the crash without injuries.
The State Patrol says alcohol was not involved in the deadly crash.
