
Report: Four Killed in Head-on Crash on Minnesota Highway
Onamia, MN (MinnesotaNow)- As many as four people killed in a head-on crash near Mille Lacs Lake in eastern Minnesota.

A preliminary report released by the State Patrol says the deadly crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Four people were riding in one of the vehicles and the driver was the sole occupant of the other vehicle. The preliminary report says the deadly crash involved an unbuckled occupant.

Sedans Collided Head-on Near Lake Mille Lacs on Hwy. 169
First responders were called to the fatality along Hwy. 169 on the western side of the lake.
A Buick sedan was heading north on the two-lane highway when the driver crossed over the centerline and collided with a southbound Saab sedan, the state crash report says.
A 21-year-old woman from Isle was driving the Buick. The State Patrol is describing the driver of the Saab as a 53-year-old Minneapolis woman.
A 41-year-old man from Onamia, a 25-year-old Onamia woman and a 51-year-old man from Minneapolis were riding in the Saab.
None of the names of the occupants have been released and the state crash report does not list the death toll from the head-on collision, however State Patrol Lt. Mike Lee tells WJON News that four people lost their lives in the crash.
Hwy. 169 was dry at the time of the fatality. The State Patrol plans to release more information Thursday evening.
