Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol is investigating a deadly collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle in the Mankato area.

The preliminary report on the crash indicates it occurred around 3:30 Thursday afternoon at a rural intersection about a mile and a half south of Mankato. The State Patrol says the pickup was traveling west on Blue Earth County Road 90, and a motorcycle was headed north on Blue Earth County Road 16 when the collision occurred.

The motorcycle was driven by a 72-year-old man from Mankato, and a 52-year-old man from Garden City was driving the pickup truck. The State Patrol has yet to release either of their names and has only indicated that the collision resulted in a fatality.
