
Two Semi-Trucks Collide in Fatal Meeker County Crash
Eden Valley, MN (KROC-AM News) - The State Patrol responded Friday afternoon to a fatal crash involving two semi-trucks west of the Twin Cities.
A preliminary report on the crash indicates an eastbound truck was stopped on Highway 55 in Meeker County, waiting to turn left into a driveway, when another eastbound semi-truck crashed into it. The collision was reported around 3 p.m., about a mile and a half west of Eden Valley.

The first truck was driven by a 73-year-old Thomas Joseph Haag of Eden Valley. He was not injured.
The driver of the second semi was identified as 57-year-old David Allen Hofstadter of Burtrum, Minnesota. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
