Undated (MinnesotaNow)- At least two lives were lost in fatal crashes on Minnesota’s roads Wednesday.

The first deadly crash of the day involved a semi and pickup. The second reported fatality was a single-vehicle crash.

The State Patrol responded to the first of the two deadly incidents Wednesday afternoon and got to the scene of the second fatality shortly before 10 p.m. 

Pickup Semi Collision & Rollover Result in At Least Two Deaths on Minnesota's Roads Wednesday

Wednesday afternoon’s crash occurred at an intersection east of Glencoe on Hwy. 212. A pickup traveling north on Dairy Ave. and a semi heading east on Hwy. 212 collided in the intersection, the state crash report says. 

23-year-old Mahmut Lacin of Centerville, OH was identified as the truck driver and 63-year-old Cynthia Eileen Schweiss was driving the pickup. Both drivers were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. 

An 85-year-old woman from Hutchinson was riding in the pickup. The State Patrol indicates she lost her life in the crash.

Her name is scheduled to be released at a later time. Alcohol was not involved in the deadly collision, according to the state crash report

At Least One Killed in Minnesota Rollover Crash

Wednesday night’s crash happened on Hwy. 22 south of Litchfield. The State Patrol says a northbound car on Hwy. 22 left the road and rolled, coming to rest in the ditch. 

A 39-year-old Litchfield woman was driving and a 40-year-old woman from Hutchinson was riding with her. 

The state crash report does not include their names or the death toll but does indicate the fatality involved an unbuckled occupant. 

More information about that crash is set to be released on Friday.
