Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A young man from Byron lost his life in a Rochester-area motorcycle crash Monday afternoon.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin says deputies responded to the deadly crash around 4 p.m. 

It happened in the area of Bamber Valley Road SW and Bamber Hills Lane SW, which is a three-way intersection in Rochester Township.

23-Year-Old Byron Man Killed in Rochester-Area Motorcycle Crash Monday Afternoon

Parkin identified the motorcyclist as 23-year-old Aidan Hugeback

The preliminary investigation indicates Hugeback was traveling south when his motorcycle left the roadway.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office says. 

Fatal Motorcycle Crash Under Investigation

Preliminary information released by the sheriff’s office did not indicate whether or not Hugeback was wearing a helmet at the time of the fatality.

“The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office extends its condolences to the friends and family of Aiden during this difficult time,” Parkin said.

The deadly motorcycle crash is under investigation, the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office says.
