
Minnesota Man Dies After Striking Tree While Riding Snowmobile in Northern MN
Orr, MN (MinnesotaNow)- Authorities in northern Minnesota are reporting the death of a Minnesota snowmobiler.

A news release issued by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office Saturday morning says deputies responded to the snowmobile accident shortly after 10:00 Friday night.
The person who called emergency services indicated their friend had become separated from the group.

North Branch Snowmobiler Found Dead at Scene of Apparent Crash
The fatal snowmobile crash occurred on the Arrowhead Trail about 25 miles north of Orr.
First responders began searching for the missing snowmobiler and found him and found him dead next to his sled about an hour after responding to the scene, the news release says.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates he failed to navigate a 90-degree turn and struck a tree. He was the only occupant of the snowmobile.
The news release describes the deceased rider as a North Branch man. His name is being withheld pending notification to his family.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating the fatal crash.
