Former Rochester Teacher Reaches Plea Deal in Child Porn Case
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A former teacher for a private school in Rochester has agreed to plead guilty to child pornography charges.
Olmsted County court documents indicate 37-year-old Wolf Brian Parsons was charged in March as a result of an investigation that was launched by Rochester Police the previous month. The criminal complaint states that local investigators received a cyber tip concerning images and videos of suspected child sexual abuse material that were found on Skype.
He is Accused of Sharing Child Sexual Abuse Materials Through 24 Different Social Media Chats
The court document says the files were associated with an IP address that was traced to Parsons and a search warrant was executed at his home. The charges alleged that investigators located 20 photos and 84 videos consistent with child sexual abuse materials stored in his cell phone.

The criminal complaint says the materials depicted mostly male children as young as approximately 6 months old engaging in sexual acts. Rochester investigators also reported locating multiple chats between Parsons and other social media users that included Parsons sending out child sexual abuse materials in at least 24 different chats.
At the time of his arrest, Parsons was employed as a teacher at Resurrection Lutheran School in northwest Rochester. The school issued a statement shortly after he was taken into custody indicating that his employment had been terminated. The statement also indicated that there was no evidence that the situation involved any of the school's students.

Parsons was charged with three counts of disseminating child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography. A Petition to Plead Guilty was recently filed in Olmsted County Court and states that Parsons has agreed to enter guilty pleas to two of the dissemination charges and one count of possession of child pornography.
Records show that Parsons was previously charged with misdemeanor indecent exposure for an incident that occurred in Rochester in late December of last year. His plea deal calls for that charge, and the two other felony charges associated with the child pornography case, to be dismissed.
The plea agreement is expected to be formalized during a court hearing next month.
