Four Deaths on Minnesota Roads Since Thursday Afternoon
Undated (KROC-AM News) The past week has been an especially deadly period on Minnesota roadways.
There have been at least 10 deaths resulting from traffic crashes since last Friday and four of them occurred Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. The most recent fatality occurred in Sherburne County around 8 AM Friday when a 29-year-old Zimmerman man was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 169 in Elk River. Another fatal crash was reported just before 1:30 Friday morning in Scott County, where the Sheriff's Office says the driver of an SUV was killed in a rollover near Jordan.
The State Patrol also reported two fatal crashes in western Minnesota Friday afternoon. Both victims died in separate collisions at rural intersections. One was reported just west of Alexandria and the other occurred on a highway about halfway between Redwood Falls and Willmar.
For other traffic fatalities were reported last Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. The State Patrol also two other deadly crashes that occurred earlier this week.
