Fugitive Warrant Issued for Convicted Murderer
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota Department of Corrections has issued a fugitive warrant for a northwestern Minnesota man who was served about 18 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and first-degree of assault in 1999. State records show 40-year-old Joshua Carl Hendrickson of Karlstad was released from the St. Cloud State prison about a year ago and placed on supervised release.
Court records indicate his prison sentence stemmed from an altercation at a house party in March 1999 during which Hendrickson stabbed and killed one man and wounded another. The murder occurred in the small town of Halma in Kittson County.
The fugitive warrant issued for Hendrickson by state corrections officials last week does not specify how he violated the terms of his supervised release.
