Fund Established for Man Killed Working on Vikings Stadium
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A fund has been set up in memory of the construction worker who died last week in a fall at the new Minnesota Vikings stadium under construction in downtown Minneapolis.
Contributions are being sought at gofundme.com/jeramiegruber to benefit the widow of 35-year-old Jeramie Gruber of Northfield.
Gruber died Wednesday in a 50-foot fall from the edge of the new stadium's roof into a snow gutter. Another construction worker was injured.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports a funeral for Gruber will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First English Lutheran Church in Faribault.
At a preseason game Saturday night in Dallas, Vikings players wore a decal on their helmets with Gruber's initials as a tribute to the Faribault High School graduate.
