Funeral Planned Wednesday For Well Known Rochester Restaurateur
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The funeral for a well known Rochester businessman will take place Wednesday morning.
An obituary posted by Macken Funeral Home says Dimitri “Jimmy” Anastasi Psomas died Friday at age 87.
His obituary says Psomas was born in Greece and came to the United States in 1966 and settled with his family Rochester. He started working as a dishwasher in a restaurant owned by his brother but eventually purchased his own restaurant in the Miracle Mile Shopping Center. Psomas later went on to own and operate over a half dozen Rochester eating establishments, including the former Mac’s Restaurant in the Peace Plaza.
The funeral for Jimmy Psamos is scheduled on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Saints Kosmas & Damianos Greek Orthodox Church in Rochester. A visitation will be held at Macken Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM.
